Pottery, prosecco and a whole lot of Shaka creativity.
Our Pottery & Prosecco Night is our signature Decorate a Mug Workshop with a little extra sparkle.
You'll spend the evening designing your own handmade ceramic mug from one of our prepared mug bodies, while enjoying complimentary prosecco throughout the session.
We'll guide you through the same decorating techniques we use in the Shaka studio, with access to our full collection of cutters, stamps, textures and tools so you can create something completely your own.
No pottery experience needed โ just come ready to create, sip and have a good time.
What You'll Do
Your handmade mug body will be prepared for you before you arrive, giving you the perfect blank canvas to work from.
During the evening you'll:

Attach your handle to a mug body prepared by us!

Roll out your clay decorating pad

Explore our collection of Shaka cutters and stamps

Cut, shape and attach your designs

Add textures and decorative details

Learn slip trailing and other Shaka techniques

Choose your glaze colour

Leave the glazing and firing to us
We'll be there throughout the entire session to demonstrate the techniques, help with your ideas and make sure your mug comes together exactly how you want it.
And Of Course... The Prosecco ๐ฅ
This one is designed to feel a little more like a night out than a traditional pottery class.
Complimentary prosecco will be flowing throughout the evening, so you can sip while you create.
Grab a friend, get the group together or come along solo โ we'll take care of the pottery and the bubbles.

Glazing
A basic all-over glaze is included in your workshop price.
If you'd like our studio team to individually glaze all of the detailed elements of your design, detailed glazing is available for an additional $35.
We'll show you examples and explain the option during the workshop, so there's no need to decide before you arrive.
Perfect for Beginners
Never worked with clay before? No problem.
Our Pottery & Prosecco Night is completely beginner friendly and fully guided from start to finish.
We'll teach you the techniques โ you decide how far you want to take your design.
Keep it simple, cover your mug in texture or go completely over the top. That's half the fun.
A Few Things to Know
No pottery experience is required.
This is an adult workshop due to the inclusion of alcohol.
Your finished mug will be professionally glazed and kiln fired by our studio team and will be ready for collection approximately 3โ4 weeks after your workshop.
Spots are limited, so bookings are essential.
Rescheduling Policy
Tickets are non-refundable, however you can reschedule your booking to another available class or use the value of your booking as credit in our shop.
